Dear DES Families - Please be aware that DES students will take their STAR assessments this Monday (9/22) and Thursday (9/25). These assessments provide valuable insight into each child’s strengths and needs allowing teachers to tailor instruction. A Reminder to DES Families :

DES Open House takes place this Thursday night! We’ll begin at 6:00 PM in the school cafeteria with a brief welcome followed by classroom visits. Please also remember that Thursday is an early release day with students being dismissed at 11:45 AM.

Kudos to the DES students and staff for doing a terrific job during this morning's fire drill. Everyone left the building in a quiet and organized manner and once cleared returned to the building to resume the activities of the day. And thank you to the Douglas Fire Department for always working hard to ensure our safety!
